Spot the Comparative Method Game

See below (in a previous post) the New York Times article from David Brooks, on Haiti.  Here are two more from today, just so you get a sense of how often the comparative method pops up in politics, society, and the "real world":

Paul Krugman on banking

Ross Douthat on sex education

Notice also what Douthat has to say about "federalizing" issues, which is something we will address on Wednesday and/or Friday. 

For what it's worth, these two are probably among the most liberal and most conservative of the Times' columnists, respectively.
